AUTONOMOUS PNEUMATIC ROBOT

This group project stems from a class that I took in UC Irvine called Mechanical Systems Laboratory. It is a control systems class that had us build this robot as our final project. The goal of this project is to reach the end of the course without manual operation of the robot; it must operate autonomously. Each group consists of 3 members that are in charge of different systems: mechanical, electrical, and controls. I was in particular the Mechanical Lead. However, I helped a lot with every part of the build.
The requirements behind the dimensions of the robot was fairly strict. It had to fit within the dimensions of a 12" x 16" cylinder with the air supply (the tire) on top of the whole thing. The propulsion system is designed using a one way bearing. You can see it in action in the video below!
